Mayo Clinic’s world-class content is available via API (Application Programming Interface).

The API delivery method allows clients to determine the frequency of content retrieval to meet their needs. There are two options for clients to choose from including Realtime API or Bulk API delivery: 

• Provides dynamic, ad-hoc access to content and is always “on” – you always have the most up-to-date and accurate content
• Offers greater ease and convenience for content managers because of the rich, programmatic interface that supports keyword search, fielded search, faceted search, flexible sorting and other advanced search features
• Gives clients greater flexibility and control over the content they choose to access while requiring low technical overhead – you don’t have to make any changes
• Realtime FAQ
